1. WordPress.com – Free Platform where you can only install themes that WordPress.com provides

2. WordPress.org – Free but you need to pay for your domain name and self hosting and you can install any WordPress themes you like.
Which one is better for you? It depends, If you want to start blogging fast and free then go with WordPress.com, if you are serious about your website and want to have freedom of installing any WordPress theme you like, then go with WordPress.org
